PROFESSIONAL STANDARDS AUTHORITY

Kveta Pumerova can be found on the Register of Play and Creative arts therapists managed by PTUK.

The PTUK Register was accredited by the UK Professional Standards Authority (PSA) under their new Accredited Registers (AR) programme based upon the Right Touch Regulation’.

The PSA report directly to the UK Parliament and are responsible for overseeing the regulation and registration of all health and social care professions in the UK.

The accreditation of the PTUK Register was the first recognition of Play Therapy as a distinct profession at national government level in the world and as such confers additional credibility for its Registrants.

The PSA AR scheme warrants the quality of registrants' work. In addition PTUK manages the effectiveness of registrants' practice.

In accrediting the Register the PSA approved the inclusion of registrants in all countries outside the UK, provided that they meet PTUK standards of training and practice. This has the effect of providing a set of de facto standards that may be used in countries where there are no specific standards for Play Therapy that have been ratified at national or state/province government level.
